What is VitalSearch?
VitalSearch is an AI medical intelligence platform that retrieves from trusted databases, synthesizes the evidence, and presents concise answers with citations, confidence scores, and safety notes.
What sources do you use?
We prioritize peer-reviewed and regulatory sources: PubMed/Medline, WHO guidelines, FDA safety communications, ClinicalTrials.gov, and partner guideline repositories. Every answer includes inline citations so you can verify the evidence.
Does it require EHR integration?
No. Our MVP runs as a secure web app. EHR embedding (FHIR/HL7 adapters) is planned for enterprise deployments and pilots.
Who is it for?
Clinicians (decision support), patients/consumers (plain-language Q&A), and students/researchers (fast literature synthesis with links to the underlying studies).

Safety, Privacy & Compliance

Is VitalSearch HIPAA-ready? Do you store PHI?
We’re building on HIPAA-ready infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest, RBAC, and audit logging. The consumer app avoids collecting unnecessary personal data; enterprise deployments can be configured to minimize or tokenize PHI.
Do you support GDPR requests?
Yes. We honor access, correction, export, and deletion requests. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Is this medical advice?
No. VitalSearch provides evidence summaries and citations for educational and decision-support purposes. It does not replace professional clinical judgment. Patients should consult their clinician before making medical decisions.

Accuracy & Limitations

How accurate are the answers?
Answers are grounded in retrieved sources and include a confidence score derived from source quality, recency, and agreement. We encourage users to review the linked citations, especially for critical decisions.
What specialties and regions are covered?
Core coverage focuses on internal medicine, emergency care, pharmacotherapy, and public-health guidance (global). We’re expanding specialty and country-specific guideline sets in upcoming releases.
How quickly are updates reflected (e.g., FDA alerts)?
We routinely ingest regulatory and guideline updates and surface safety notes as part of the answer. In enterprise settings, admins can receive alert digests.
